Greetings!

My name is Traci Hatchett, and I am an event planner/designer located in lovely New England (Connecticut).  I have been in the events industry for over 16 years.  In partnership with my husband (David), we own Hatchett Events, LLC a full-service event planning and design firm.  Event planning, designing, decorating and entertaining are my passion.  We love what we do in taking our clients visions of a special occasion or celebratory event and bringing it to reality, step-by-step, through planning, designing and decorating.

 

While I absolutely love planning and executing large events; I also enjoy entertaining on a smaller scale at home and do so regularly.  Every day is a good day to entertain in my mind whether it is a small intimate dinner party or a cozy family game night in front of the TV, I simply love to entertain!

In addition to being the wife of David, I am also the mother of two, Anthony (21) and Kennedy (16) both of whom are great kids, and both happen to be vegetarians.  So, my menus for daily cooking and entertaining always include vegetarian options of course.  My family is my everything, and if you subscribe to my blog, you'll get to know and love them too.

 

The purpose of this blog is for me to share food, recipes, tablescape inspiration, crafts, tips and more for DIY entertaining!  You will find that the food and recipes include all types of options for a variety of diets including vegetarian, diabetic selections (as I was recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes) like so many others and themed dishes too.  The tablescapes and crafts will be everything from fun and whimsical to classy and elegant ...

My goal is to show and inspire you with easy and innovative ways to entertain and do it all yourself!
