My husband and I find that taking tours is one of the best ways for us to learn about the places we are visiting, so DAY 4 we scheduled a two-hour bike tour of the Historic District on these vintage bikes.
The tour was just over four miles long, we covered a lot of ground and got to know several different areas of the city including Forsyth Park, City Market, and historic River Street. We had a great tour guide (Steve) and learned about local history and heritage as we visited landmarks such as the Andrew Low House and Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.
It was yet, another HOT morning, but the breeze from the bike ride made it bearable.
After the tour we had brunch at Treylor Park Diner (located in the Historic District). Our meals were fabulous, hearty and seasoned just right! And of course, you can't have brunch without mimosa's ... yep, we indulged!
Later that evening we had a lovely gourmet dinner at Chive Sea Bar & Lounge.
The food, cocktails and service was phenomenal; we will dine here again when we return.
