Ingredients:
1 pound ground turkey
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 can (15 oz.) pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (8 1/2 oz.) corn, rinsed and drained
1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
1 can (14 1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes
1 can (10 oz.) diced tomatoes and green chilies
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon fresh minced garlic
Salt
Black ground pepper
Seasoning salt
1 jalapeno pepper (optional for topping)
Shredded cheddar cheese (optional for topping)
Directions:
1. In a nonstick skillet over medium heat, season turkey meat or plant-based meat with salt, black ground pepper and seasoning salt. 2. Cook meat until it is no longer pink; drain. Transfer meat to slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients and stir until combined. 3. Cook on HIGH for 4 hours; remove lid and stir quickly halfway through. Serve with fresh jalapeno and cheddar cheese.
