At this point, I am sure you're all ready for the holidays. I know that I am as I just completed my Christmas tablescapes, the final stage of my holiday decorating.
Setting a beautiful table is one of my favorite things to do. I typically have a theme for my tables whether it be for the holidays, the season or a color that feels appropriate.
There are a few steps you can follow when creating a beautiful table...
Include texture in some element of the tablescape. Texture is an important design element that brings added complexity and interest to a tablescape.
Create an interesting centerpiece; a central object which serves a decorative purpose.
Layer place setting with multiple colors. You can layer with textures, colors, and patterns. Each layer should be it's own story. Each layer builds to a complete design.
Add interesting cups, glasses and/or stemware.
Mix metals and add candles for a special glow.
